Legal principles of the Slovenian data protection law

Most of the provisions governing the principles of processing have been superseded by the GDPR, however, the principle of prohibition of discrimination (Art. 4 ZVOP-1) still applies. According to it, protection of personal data shall be guaranteed to everyone irrespective of nationality, race, (skin) colour, religious belief, ethnicity, sex, language, political or other belief, sexual orientation, material standing, birth, education, social position, citizenship, place or type of residence or any other personal circumstance.
